What is a Farm-stay?

It’s as simple as you think!

Farm-stays are accommodations in agricultural settings that provide guests with a close-up, authentic experience of daily life on a farm.

Our farm-stay not only allows our guests a glimpse into farm life, but also a chance to stay in a remodeled vintage 1977 Airstream Argosy!

So, whether you are thinking about camper life and want to try it out before making the leap, want to see/learn farm life or simply want some time in the mountains... Early-risers — grab your coffee & enjoy the breathtaking sunrise on your private patio as it comes up from behind the mountains, or feel free to take advantage of the peace and quiet of the mountain countryside!

We invite all our guests to pick some fresh eggs and/or harvest seasonal veggies to add to your meals, hang out with our sweet goats, chickens and ducks, relax with a book in the hammock beneath the willows, and at night, sit by the fire and get lost in the dark skies/brilliant stars!

“Cheree & Stephen went above and beyond for our stay, from the message on the fridge, to the bottle of bubbles for our special day! (They so kindly allowed us to elope on their beautiful homestead, right there in front of Annie… and it was perfect!) Welcoming, warm and laid back is exactly what we experienced, the animals were a big highlight for us! We got to learn some interesting things about beginning a homestead and managing the lovely chickens, ducks and of course goats! AND the best part, was helping one morning with feeding time :) thank you for letting us join you, and having some good laughs & chats in between! The airstream was filled with character, and delivered exactly what we had hoped! We loved hearing and seeing where she had been throughout her travel days, it really was idyllic and a perfect stay for us nature and animal lovers! “If you’re looking for a sign to book this airbnb, this is it!! I brought my boyfriend for a birthday get-away and this was one of our best trips yet! We fell in love with the property and Annie the Argosy and can’t wait to come back! I definitely recommend getting up to catch the sunrise and hang out with the goats, ducks, and chickens during their feeding time. We also fell in love with the town that is just a short drive from the property. It’s quiet and charming and you’re surrounded by great people and food! (We loved Stack House and Rio’s Mexican Kitchen). Overall, fantastic experience”

“Hands down one of my absolute favorite stays on Airbnb! It was even more magical in person! Annie the Airstream was so cozy and I felt right at home. Waking up to the beautiful view and Teddy and Crusher 🐐 might have been the highlight of my trip. The best part? The view from “Annie” was incredible!!! Wake up for sunrise— you won’t regret it. “If you’re looking for a peaceful mountain escape with stunning views, Willow Roots is the perfect place to stay! My fiancé and I loved our trip this past weekend and will definitely be back! We started each morning by visiting the animals and grabbing eggs from the hens for breakfast. We enjoyed reading by the fire pit and soaking up the peaceful mountain view. Annie was so cute and the perfect base for our weekend trip to Asheville. It’s about 30 mins to downtown Asheville so plan accordingly! We had no trouble with it and used our mornings to explore nearby hiking trails and disc golf courses and our evenings to enjoy breweries and restaurants in Asheville and Marshall. Cheree and Stephen have thought of everything you could possibly need for your stay. They were the incredible hosts and we had a great time talking to them and hearing about their vision for the property. We especially enjoyed getting to meet Barley, Bubba (+ Banjo from afar). We highly recommend staying here!”

“Heavenly! Beautiful location with breathtaking views! Annie is perfect, so comfortable and well equipped. I could sit by the fire pit for days.
